Paul de Pledge qualified with a City of London practice moving quickly to become an equity partner. Paul moved to Cambridge in 1989 for family reasons and in 1991 he and Andrew Fowler set up Fowler de Pledge.

Paul’s main area of practice is acting for commercial clients in a variety of areas such as Company Formation, Sales, Acquisitions, Contract matters, Company reorganisations and Commercial Property. Many of his clients have been with him for many years and Fowler de Pledge value such long-term relationships. Fowler de Pledge’s commercial clients range from the small start up to the large established business and geographically around the country from the South Coast to the North of England.

The experience that FDP has gained overseas means that Fowler de Pledge have the ability to assist clients with legal matters in many European jurisdictions, particularly Germany; and North America.

Paul also undertakes private client work, particularly to give commercial clients an all round service, but where a matter is not within the expertise of Fowler de Pledge, strong contacts within other firms have been made to ensure a suitable referral can be given to a trusted alternative.
